Truths Of The Non-fat Dressings

Truths Of The Non-fat Dressings

Every great-tasting salad is worthy of an excellent dressing. If you’ll try asking those who are on healthy diet on which dressing they’d prefer, I’m pretty sure they will choose nonfat. But, a lot of you aren’t aware that nonfat types aren’t as good as those full ones.

Quite surprisingly, dressings were already here for like a hundred years already. Their popularity had even increased when people were starting to be concerned about the importance of having a healthier lifestyle. Because of this, a number of fat-free dressings emerged everywhere around the world. Famous restaurants everywhere have now been incorporating healthy dressings into their daily menu.

Sad thing is, nonfat type dressings actually, are substituting fats with sodium and sugar! This is due to the fact that manufacturers of these dressings knew that fat-free ones taste bland. Therefore, in order to encourage more customers to patronize their dressing, they look for something that would make their product tasty, instead of being tasteless.

Another dilemma is that fats easily make someone full. It provides satisfaction to anyone, making that person fill so full. That’s why even though health experts would advice people to consider eating salads in order to avoid starving, it’s still not a good idea to pile up so much on dressings. It’s basically because eating a mouthful of salads is also the same as bringing yourself into danger.

Fat free dressings contain corn syrup, with high amount of fructose. This is one ingredient that’s making it tastes so good. However, even if it tastes so good because of its sweet taste, this is still not recommended. This type of syrup is actually a toxin that’s man made.

In addition, even though the label would say it’s sugar, it’s still not good, for this is the main reason why a lot of individuals are now becoming obese, while some would suffer from heart diseases. Not only that, sugar contains several preservatives and aberrant additives.

Therefore, when planning to binge on those salads, it is highly recommended to either make the dressing yourself or skip eating it. But if eating the dressing can’t be avoided, then choose those that are made of natural ingredient. And if you prefer to prepare it yourself, a thousand healthy recipes can be found online.

Be very creative, too! Squeeze on some juice, like that of the citrus. Add several spices and herbs to it, and nuts can be a good idea, too! This will surely yield a very tasty, and healthier salad.

A number of choices are available in making a good salad. Whatever type of salad you choose, or regardless of how you make it, always remember to choose the healthier option, so you’ll have that recommended healthy lifestyle.
